Stop your Bands from Rolling Up, Once and for All!

At Bellafit Athletics, we've gone to great lengths to provide you with bands that are high quality, cute, comfortable, and effective. As a result, we can proudly say that we rarely hear our customer complain about the bands rolling during exercise. But, on rare occasions it could happen, and if it does happens to you, don't worry! We are here to help! Below are some tips and tricks we've complied to help you get the most out of your bands, and get them to stop rolling once and for all!

Clothing

The type of clothing and material you wear for your workout can make a big difference. Avoid putting the bands directly on your skin or on very smooth or silky material. Your skin may not have the necessary friction to hold the bands in place, especially when you start sweating. Instead, try wearing leggings or tights and place the bands on top of your clothing. The extra friction will help keep the bands in place, and prevent the bands from slipping.

Placement

The placement of the bands is quite important as well. Placing the bands in the appropriate position will help with the bands to stay in place.

For exercises that require placing the bands on your thighs, place the bands closer to the knee - approximately 1" above the knee.

For exercise that require placing the bands on your ankles or wrists, same idea applies, place the bands 1" above your foot or your hand.

Hacks

Certain exercises have their own individual tricks and tips. For example, when performing Donkey kickbacks, instead of placing the band on your thighs, try pinning the band below the knee that is posted on the floor.
